    HI, Just had a look at your comment on reading vacuum. I can see how some people could get confused with the readings on the gauge. However, that problem only applies to people who still use the imperial PSI scale. It is so much easier using metric scale. All you have to remember is 50kPa. if we think of normal atmospheric pressure as 0 kPa then we use 50kPa for pressure testing and -50kPa for vacuum testing. Simple ! BTW 50kPa is the same as 1/2 Bar also known as 1/2 atmosphere Cheers EJ

    Okay, I'm totally hung up on the math. You should have explained it a little bit more, rather than just telling us to "not get hung up on the math." The information in this video is good, but your technique is mediocre. The whole "clicks too early," and "put the rope up" and "pull the rope back" leaves quite a bit of inaccuracy in the measurement, and will NOT indicate to you that you "know" your wrench is "well rounded with a good, accurate measurement."

      @@VintageEngineRepairs You're welcome. I might hate math more than you, but I'm not sure of your level of loathing. I like the basicness of your technique, despite it's variability. I think your system is the MOST useful if someone is stuck in a remote environment somewhere where they is little, or no access to other machines or resources. One could be snowed in in a cabin in Alaska with an out of spec torque wrench and your technique is guaranteed to work, and probably well enough for whatever task that snow-bound machinist would encounter before the thaw. OR, you could be on a deserted island in the middle of the ocean ... ;-)

    I have 25 acres of woods and am constantly cutting trees to either clear stuff that fell, create trails, or cut firewood. Lately I noticed my saw will bind on larger logs as if it's being pinched, except I'm cutting a tree that is hanging in midair. i.e. it is anything but pinched. However, I watched your video and it so complicates the dynamics of a chainsaw chain, that it just makes me want to throw the whole thing away. It's simply not worth that much effort and "precision". At least not to me. If it's really that hard, why do people do it? Interestingly, in the 70's we would cut tons of firewood out of alder in the Seattle area and never had any problems. Cuts were always smooth and fast. And on rare occasion we would sharpen the blade with a simple file. It had a thumb press blade oiler. Now, I live in Kentucky and there is poplar, oak, walnut, hickory, cedar, etc. And cutting firewood is a royal pain. In fact, about a quarter inch of the edges of the top and bottom of the blade (I reversed it) are blue with heat, even though there is plenty of oil getting to it. I will occasionally even see sparks come off the chain even though there is no metal, rocks or dirt coming in contact with it. I use a Stihl MS 290, BTW. FWIW, I always thought a hydraulic wood splitter was just an extravagance. Then I tried to split Hickory. I bought a hydraulic splitter.😉

    • @VintageEngineRepairs
      @VintageEngineRepairs 2 дня назад

    • @VintageEngineRepairs
      @VintageEngineRepairs 3 дня назад

      If you can’t get fuel through the main nozzle, it’s likely sealed shut. Connect a tube to the H circuit through one of the drillings and close the others with your finger and blow and suck. Listen for a clicking sound. If it doesn’t click or you can’t blow, the valve is shut. It may free up in the ultrasonic cleaner
